Stella's 2nd birthday was a unicorn theme. She loves dressing up, as does her big sister, and they both adore unicorns. Clara has been wanting me to throw Stella a unicorn bday for months, so we went with it. The girls and I had fun doing our makeup with lots of color and sparkles. Stella really wants to have makeup on, but she's also fiercely independent and also wants everything on her lips, so it's challenging. Everyone had a great time. It was sunny and actually not cold out during the day. William was able to make the party, which was so nice. He made it to her first bday, too. I'm always so happy when all my kids are together. Stella was gifted wonderful things, unicorn stuffed animals, dinosaurs (she loves dinos, just like her big sissy, and as I did as a little girl) clothes, a doll for the bath, beautiful antique plates, and a balance bike without peddles to get her going. After the party, later that night, William and I went roller skating, and my friend Asher went with us. Turned out being an awesome day! Happy second birthday, my ferocious and sweet two year old girl. You're my baby. I love you so much! Check out the Unicorn photoshoot! Check out Stella's first bday! MakeupThe party

We went sledding at our fave spot. We've come here on and off for about 14 yearsish. Everyone had a great time. Clara was really nervous at first, which made Stella nervous, because she follows everything her big sister does. So we started with small hills, and in no time Clara was wanting to do it herself on some of the bigger hills. It's so fun to watch her figure things out. She gets so scared sometimes, but with some love and time she eventually gets the hang of stuff, and it make some so proud of her. Stella went a few times with me and with Clara, and then she was over it and jsut wanted to hang out in the car eating chips and watching everyone else. The video starts with Jack and Derek, my brother, wiping out. It was actually the last trip down the hill, but made for a great way to start the video. We headed up to Idaho City for cheeseburgers, photos, fresh air, and ice cream cones. Later we went to Wahooz. Fun family day. Even William got to hang out with us and my punk brother joined us ;) William really wanted photos of him as a knight in the snow. He put this costume together back in October for Halloween. The kid has always been in knights and hopes to learn blacksmithing and actually become a knight in Europe. He wants to get into medieval sword fighting. His imagination when it comes to knights always lights up, since he was a toddler. I gifted Jack a keyboard for Christmas, but Clara is getting the most use out of it. She loves singing and dancing, so this just added the next level for her to start expressing herself, and it's awesome. This was her first attempt to sit down and make her song. I was really sick for my birthday and had to cancel my get together. The following weekend dad and grandpa had us over for some chicken and cake. I was still sick, but at this point I've been sick since Christmas, so whatever, let's have cake. |
